FRAME is a constantly shifting visually mesmerizing art piece. If a viewer chooses to go within range, the area of the undulating frame that they are watching changes its underlying colors - allowing a mood and experiential change through color fields. The content spills out of Frame into the real space of the installation wall.
SYSTEM:
Each module controlling the LED's is a PIC microcontroller. Using a customized printed circuit board and control program, the module responds to sensor information coming from the 40cm infrared rangers - and depending on whether they've been activated or not, Frame will either present blue undulating colors or pinks and purples.
