Almost 1 month ago I went to my friend Gaia’s country house. I met her family, her cat, and the cutest dang country house i done ever seen! (Imagine the southerner twang in the last sentence please) It was a beautiful day – semi rainy, cloudy, and gorgeous. The country house is named “Castellich” and has obviously been a very important element in the raising of each of the Callea kids! Its about a 15 minute drive from Conegliano – which is another extremely beautiful little town in northern Italy.
We started the afternoon by celebrating the 90th birthday of a friend of the familie’s named Elizabeth. The whole day I was forced to test my italian skillz – and realized they’re most definitely weaker than I want them to be! Gaia gave me a magnificent tour around surrounding areas (its very close to the Alps… just gorgeous!) We ended the day with a dinner where Gaia’s mom tried to get me drunk! (And succeeded I might add)
